Privacy and the Baton Rouge Section of AIChE

This site was designed for the members of the Baton Rouge Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, as well as to introduce propsective members and students to this Section of the Society.

In order to properly function, the servers on which the website is hosted receive certain information which is provided automatically by your browser when making a request for web pages.

This information includes your IP address, your browser type, and other related information. This may or may not include cookies. The information is retained by the servers and is used for site statistics and other site maintenance and performance uses.

This site contains links to third party sites. The site content, privacy practices, activities and links from these third party sites are not under our control. Those sites may or may not have published privacy policies. Regardless, this privacy policy does not apply to any third party sites.

The Baton Rouge Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers takes your privacy seriously. We will not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any other organization, except where that is a necessary part of processing your membership or your registration for an event.

This site may contain forms that may be completed online. If so, the information in these forms may be used by AIChE or by the Baton Rouge Section of AIChE to contact you in the future.

Similarly, the site may contain forms that must be printed, completed by hand and mailed. The nature of the form will be obvious. For example, if you print, complete and mail a registration form for a seminar, the Baton Rouge Section, or someone acting on its behalf, may take the necessary steps to register you for the seminar and to process your payment. Your personal information may be used for future contacts by the Baton Rouge Section.

Depending upon the nature of the form, it may retain information in a manner that would be visible to other members of AIChE or AIChE-Baton Rouge Section or to members of the public.
